Our neighborhood

A real house on a Burnsville street.

Our home is in east Burnsville, on Highclere Drive just north of East 130th Street, a short walk from Chateaulin Park. It is a residential street of two-story houses, mature trees and big back yards, the same kind of neighborhood many of our residents lived in for decades.

For Burnsville families, visiting is easy. From Burnsville City Hall it is about 1.5 miles, roughly 4 minutes. M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital on Nicollet Boulevard is about 7 minutes from our door, which matters when a resident has an appointment or a health scare.

About the area

Burnsville, the town we call home.

Burnsville grew up around the spot where I-35 splits into 35W and 35E, and around Burnsville Center, the mall on County Road 42. Its quieter side is the water and the woods: Crystal Lake on the Lakeville line, Lake Alimagnet, and the Minnesota River bluffs along the north edge of town.

Most neighborhoods are single-family homes and townhomes built from the 1970s through the 1990s. Plenty of them have stairs, split levels and long driveways that get harder to manage with age, which is often when families start looking for help close by.
