Which waiver is right for my loved one?
It depends on age and needs. The Elderly Waiver (EW) is generally for people 65 and older, and CADI is generally for adults under 65 with disabilities. The county or health plan assessment decides which waiver applies.
Does the Elderly Waiver pay for room and board?
No. Waivers pay for care services. Room and board is paid by the resident, and some residents qualify for Minnesota Housing Support to help with that cost.
Do you work with health plan care coordinators?
Yes. Many people on the Elderly Waiver are members of a health plan, such as MSHO or MSC+. We work with their care coordinators as well as county case managers.
What if my loved one does not qualify for a waiver?
We also accept private pay and long-term care insurance. Call us and we will talk through the options for your family.
